MoPA-TV® - Case Study: FC Bayern Munich

Case Study: FC Bayern Munich

In the Stadium - Allianz Arena
MoPA-TV® formats are very versatile and in addition to being available for TV programming, they are also very well suited for usage in venues with large audiences such as at a sports stadium during the half time break, during intermission at a concert, or at any other kind of similar large public events. This live interactive mobile entertainment format works well with audiences who can participate by using their mobile phones.

Games played during the event may vary as the host can pick and choose whichever type of game is suitable depending on the event and audience. Examples include voting for the player of the day or quizzes related to the event, as well as games that allow participants to virtually be seen on the wide screen display in the venue.

MoPA-TV is featured as part of the entertainment of the FC Bayern Munich home matches held in the Allianz Arena. A live in-stadium announcer presents questions related to the FCB soccer team, while participants (comprised of the audience in the arena) submit their answers via text messages from their mobile phones. The answers sent by the participants trigger changes in the movements and actions of the animated characters in real time on the screen. Participants who send the correct answer proceed to the next question and those who give the wrong answer are eliminated from the screen in a humorous way.
